    Wireless...

    ...who be going?

I plan on scamming a few tickets as I want to take my nephew as he is now the ripe old age of 2. He is hillarious and I want him to meet the peeps.

Also, if you already have a ticket, does it say under 5s are free or something? Any info will be greatly appreciated!

I can't wait, we're taking or 6 year old son (huge delays fan), it's his first trip to London, first time in a hotel and first gig.

He's REALLY looking forward to it, so I just want it to be perfect for him!

    "EVENT INFO

    AGE RESTRICTIONS
Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a guardian over 21. Don't take any chances - bring proof of age.

Only babes in arms will be admitted free of charge, otherwise you will need a full price ticket for everyone attending.

N.B. This event is not suitable for small children as it will be very busy and loud."

I learnt after a couple of years that you don't have to bother buying full-price tickets for this as there's always loads available on eBay. I got in for about half price last year.

I put a bag on everything.

Hmmm.... has anyone noticed how low Delays are slipping down the bill?

They're now on the second stage, third on. Which, I'm guessing is around 4 / 5 pm. I was hoping they might be a bit higher up, but obviously not.

At least we also get Royworld and Joe Purdy later on though.

Gawd, they'll be in the carpark at this rate. And who the fuck are Magic Christian? Is there anyone on the main stage who isn't American??? Tragic.

Ooh, Royworld. And Melee. Maybe it was worth the ticket price after all! See you down by the shittier stage Phil! Big Smile

I don't see me bothering with the main stage at all at this rate.

    Re: Wireless...

Yeah, Goo Goo Dolls were the only one on the main stage I was faintly bothered by. Still, as Klair said we do get Royworld who are reasonably good, though I think them and Delays should swap places!! Hopefully see you guys down the front Smile

Goo Goo Dolls on at the same time? Oh say it isn't so - fuck! This is why I bloody hate festivals.

    Re: Wireless...

They may not be, but they've got equal standing on the bill (i.e. 3rd on), so I'm assuming there will be some crossover unfortunately.

Bl**dy h*ll, my 'cheap tickets off eBay' strategy has backfired big time for Sunday. It's actually sold out, and the tickets on eBay are going for silly prices! I've never known the Wireless to sell out in advance before. Guess I won't be going after all then.

Even stranger when you consider that I got a ticket for tomorrow, when there's Morrissey and Beck and Siouxsie and Guillemots and stuff, for £26.

Sunday sold-Out? Maybe due to excessive Delays airplay on the radio (joke) word has got around that one of the best bands in the world are playing there on the bill. You never know Counting Crows maybe kicked off main stage & will have to swap with our faves! I too was hoping for cheaper tickets got mine a month or so ago via ebay £76 for a pair which was not too bad i think, but thought may have got cheaper towards the date or not as the case maybe. Lets hope the weather holds off!
