The guys myspace blogs are getting better and better, especially compared to the usual 'hows it going, hope to see you soon' sleep inducing crap most bands have written for them-even the shameless plugs are entertaining, its all for the cause after all!
Here's the latest from Aaron, enjoy!
On February the 7th 1883, a bottle washed up on the shores of
Bournemouth beach, Inside the bottle written on a saloon ticket were
these words: "Our ship is in great distress. The masts are destroyed.
Immediate help is necessary. Steamer Nederland." Today I took a scooter
ride down to the same waves to see what would wash up for me... Alone
and armed with candy floss and Dr Pepper, I walked like a seaside
cliche to the seaspray. I sat there for 3 hours, during which time I
started laughing and remembering some of the 'album titles' we came up
with during some 'downtime' in le studio. Heres just a taste of where
our heads were at: Cod 'n' hits,Sesame cloak,Perpetual emotion,Melody
Pie,Believe me alone,Mutiny!,Tip 'o' the cap,Too many cooks...,Linen
and Sweepstake. What do you think people?
I haven't been to
the beach for a while, im gonna do it more often I think. I think you
should too, theres memories to be made there. I didnt find any washed up
bottles on the shore (blue flags 4 years running eh?), I did have a
conversation with a woman about the weather as it started to rain
though (what a place to put a country) ,and I did 'etch' a penis into
the sand just before I left... On my way back to Ainsley (my scooter) I
trod in *** which curled up either side of my trainer, sand on the
inside *** on the out? I think it could catch on you know. I picked up
a shell too, apparently you can hear the sea wherever you are just by
putting it next to your ear(s). I'm doing it right now, and all I can
is Kevin and Winnie arguing in the wonder years? That Jon Denver's full
of *** man.
Wherever you are and whatever you've been doing...I hope this message finds you in smiles. Aaron. xx
Ps The steamer Nederland note turned out to be a hoax, Stings was real though.
