I'm sodding well in stupid France next week too, will have to wait for 2 weeks. Gaaaaah!  I can't believe it....no more David Tennant.

I really don't know what will happen though, judging on Tennant's and RTD's comments on Confidential (and some rumours I think, I haven't heard/ looked up any but people keep hinting at it at me.. well, some hint one way, some the other!!) it could be that something interferes or somehow he manages to keep his form or something.. but to be honest, if I didn't like David so much I would think that would be a lame-ass way to lengthen his lifespan as the Doctor, if it was anyone else I'd say go ahead with the regeneration now once you've started it!

Ahhhh!  I'm going to go MENTAL waiting for next week!  I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, freaking out. 

I FLOVED the scene where all the companions hear the invaders transmission.  Chills, I tell ya!  And I may have teared up a little at "Why don't you ask her yourself" 

 Edit: OMG, I just watched the Confidential.  OH HELLO, you fine piece of man sitting next to Freema in the readthrough!  God, I was wondering when we'd see him!  About time we had a bit more eye candy around.  Now I'm looking forward to next week even MOAR.

I don't actually think he is going to go yet.  There has to be a twist somewhere along the line.  Apparently he's already recorded the Christmas special, but equally this could just be rumours to throw people off the track?  What an episode though.  He can't leave just yet, I'll miss the incredibly strange way he runs!

 

Remember though, The Doctor can only regenerate 12 times in total, and even if he keeps his form this time, there will only be one left!

 

I'm sure they'll find SOME way around that.  There's no way they'd let that stop them from continuing such a successful franchise. 

I think that is the beauty about sci-fi though, anything can happen!

Haha, that's what I love!  Anything can happen!  And even when you roll your eyes and go "Come on, that's stretching it a little!", you have to smile, because...someone thought up all that crazy stuff to start with! 

Now, if only they can figure out a way, when David decides to leave, to regenerate back into Nine...

As long as it's not 7! That would be funny though.

 

There's been a few times where my delightful man has said how ridiculous something in the story is when I try to explain to him that a 900 year old alien floating around space in a police box as a spaceship fighting off psycho alien robot armies and what have you, that try to destroy the earth, armed with just a screwdriver is pretty crazy idea to start with.

I thought he can regenerate 13 times? Dunno where I got that from then... The Doctor has gone younger (-looking) almost at every regeneration, maybe next time he'll look 20, then 10 and then when he regenerates he'll vanish cause he can't go younger anymore! ... ahem

Yes they regenerate 12 times (13 incarnations)  I think

that'd still be two regenerations even if this one goes through with it!

then again I think originally it was 10 , but they obviously had to change it... so...

Isn't the 13th one fatal though?

I can't get used to Catherine Tate in a serious role either....keep expecting her to errupt into her old lady cackle or come out with '25 years mum and I have been coming in here and just because I like to wear tight pants, you automatically assume that I get my shopping delivered round the back, HOW VERY DARE YOU!' or something like that.....
